December 14

Tune Up Ride at Ray Benson Sno-Park

This will be the first MJSC organized ride of the season and is intended for all skill levels or a beginner ride on our ride skills chart.  Ride will start at staging area A (play area in front of the warming shelter) at 9:00 AM.  Ride leaders will be Ray Benson and Mike Haeck.  Ride goals are an easy trail ride to makes sure everyone’s sleds and equipment are ready for the season.

 

December 31st

New Years Eve Ride at Ray Benson Sno-Park

Ride will start at staging area A (play area in front of the warming shelter) at 9:00 AM.  Ride leader will be Ray Benson.  This will be an intermediate skill level ride with some off-trail opportunities.  Destination for this ride will be determined by the skill set of the riders attending but make sure you have a full tank of fuel and snacks/lunch!

 

January 11th, 2025

All skill levels Ride at Ray Benson Sno-Park

Ride will start at staging area A (play area in front of the warming shelter) at 9:00 AM.  Ride leader has yet to be determined.

Snow permitting the goal for this ride will be to Big Springs Sno-Park and back.  This will be predominantly a trail ride with limited off-trail opportunities.

 

February 1st, 2025

Breitenbush Ride

Ride participants will meet on the FS Road 46 (Breitenbush Road) intersection with FS Road 4685 at 8:30 AM.  Ride leaders will be James Benson and Steve Duch.  This will be an Advanced to Extreme ride, depending on snow conditions, with mostly off-trail riding.  This is an all-day experience; participants should plan on not returning to the trail head until dark (bring food, water, and extra cloths).  All participants must have avalanche probe, shovel. and beacon to join this ride.

 

February 15th, 2025

Sweethearts Ride at Ray Benson Sno-Park

Ride will start at staging area A (play area in front of the warming shelter) at 9:00 AM.  Ride leaders will be Steve Duch and Ray Benson.

Snow permitting this intermediate skill level ride will be to Three Creeks Sno-Park and back.  This will be predominantly a trail ride with limited off-trail opportunities but will be an all-day adventure so bring food, water, and possibly extra fuel if you like to play a lot.

 

February 26th through March 2nd, 2025

McCall Idaho Destination Trip

The club will travel to McCall for our out-of-town trip this year.  Contact Mark Trotter to sign up or get more information.  This trip will be an intermediate to advanced skill level trip with some on trail and lots of off-trail riding.  Ride leader will be Jim Brister, Christian Sammons, and Steve Duch.

 

March 8, 2025

All skill levels Ride at Ray Benson Sno-Park

Ride will start at staging area A (play area in front of the warming shelter) at 9:00 AM.  Ride leader will be Mark Trotter.

Ride destination will be a surprise but will be based on the skill level of the participants.  This will be a morning ride only so attendees will return to the sno-park for lunch.

 

March 15th, 2025

Big Springs Sno-Park Ride

This ride will be based out of Big Springs Sno-Park and will start at 9:00 AM.  Ride leader has yet to be determined. 

This will be a get-to-know the trails around the Big Springs area and should have some off-trail opportunities.

 

March 22, 2025

 

MJSC Play Day at Ray Benson Sno-Park

This all-skill levels ride will start at staging area A (play area in front of the warming shelter) at 10:00 AM.  Ride leader will be Kelly Fough.  This will be a destination ride to a secret location, but the destination will have a fire and BBQ lunch for all that attend the ride.
